Gotou is of the Zoldyck family manager. All contacts with the family members must go through him. An enigmatic and intimidating character, Killua once expressed to Gon his recurring nightmares of Gotou chasing him with a knife. He is also superb at the "where is the coin" trick. He cares for Killua as if he was his own son.
